Salt Lake: An indictment has been filed against Tyler Robinson, the suspect accused of killing Charlie Kirk, a close associate of U.S. President Donald Trump.


According to U.S. media reports, Tyler Robinson appeared in Provo court via video link, where the prosecutor requested the death penalty for the suspect.


Media reports state that Robinson faces seven charges, including murder, destruction of evidence, and witness tampering.


The prosecutor told the court that the suspect had confessed in text messages sent to his roommate, writing that he was fed up with Charlie Kirk’s hatefulness.


The state attorney further said that the suspect’s DNA matched samples taken from the rifle.


According to U.S. media reports, the next hearing in the Charlie Kirk murder case will be held on September.
