US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that President Donald Trump is unhappy with recent events in Qatar, and that negotiations may be affected.

Speaking to the media before arriving in Israel and meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Rubio said that relations with Israel are very strong and will remain so.

He stated that countries recognizing a Palestinian state had already been warned of repercussions, and Israel’s response is a result of those decisions.

The US Secretary of State said he will not be participating in the meeting taking place in Qatar, but will discuss with the Israeli Prime Minister the impact of the attack on Qatar.

On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu accused Hamas leadership based in Qatar of obstructing the Gaza agreement.

He said that eliminating Hamas leadership residing in Qatar would remove the biggest obstacle to the release of hostages and an end to the Gaza war.

It should be remembered that on Tuesday, Israel carried out an airstrike on Hamas leadership in Doha, in which six people were martyred. According to Hamas, none of its leaders were among the dead.
