Hollywood’s renowned and veteran actor Robert Redford has passed away at the age of 89. Born in August 1936 in Santa Monica, California, Redford was the son of a milkman. Later, he worked as an accountant in an oil company.
His big-screen career began with a small role in the 1960 film Tall Story, where he had the chance to work alongside the famous actress Jane Fonda.
According to U.S. media reports from Los Angeles, Robert Redford gained worldwide fame through his performances in the 1960s and 70s. He acted in more than fifty Hollywood films.
American media further reported that Robert Redford also received an Oscar Award for Best Director. He became a leading figure for independent filmmakers and launched the annual Sundance Film Festival, where his work was showcased.
